Easy Chicken Wings Recipe | Hungry for Goodies

Assalamu Alaykum everyone! I hope you are all doing well.
Today's video is a bit different than usual because I am sharing with you guys my dad's recipe. He's going to show you how he makes his super tasty and really crispy fried chicken wings recipe.

Chicken wings have always been my favourite, I remember the times during my trip to Pakistan I would always ask my dad to buy me and my sisters fried chicken made by 'bhaiya ji from the bazaar near our house'. We used to eat a lot of bahar ka khaana which gave us an upset stomach but we loved it anyway!

My sister missed bhaiya ji's chicken wings a lot and she's been asking our dad to make something similar for a long time now. So, this is my dad's version of bhaiya ji's chicken wings.

I am so excited to be sharing a glimpse of my dad in the kitchen. I've learned cooking from my parents and I am so blessed that both are passionate about food. I think that's where I got it from.

Easy Chicken Wings Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 kg chicken wings (22 pieces)
  • half lemon juice
  • 1-1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • oil for frying

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Make two slits on both sides of each chicken wings. Don't cut too deep. This will help the seasonings penetrate the chicken.
  2. Once all the chicken wings are prepared squeeze half of  the lemon on the chicken wings.
  3. Then add all seasoning except cornstarch and flour. Mix everything well together.
  4. Marinate for 20 minutes.
  5. After that add cornstarch, pain flour and mix well. This will create a coating for the chicken keeping it crisp after frying.
  6. Next deep fry chicken wings in hot oil for a couple of minutes until chicken turns slightly brown.
  7. Remove from oil and transfer on to a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  8. Let them rest and cool down for a few minutes and fry them again for a second time.
  9. Fry them just until they're crispy and perfectly golden brown.
  10. And you're done, serve warm with hot sauce.
