Masala Baked Chicken Wings Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 kg chicken wings (22 pieces)
  • half lemon juice
  • 1-1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp plain flour
  • oil for frying
DIRECTIONS:

  1. Make two slits on both sides of each chicken wings. Don't cut too deep. This will help the seasonings penetrate the chicken. 
  2. Once all the chicken wings are prepared squeeze half of  the lemon on the chicken wings. 
  3. Then add all seasoning except cornstarch and flour. Mix everything well together.
  4. Marinate at least 4 hours minutes.
  5. After that add cornstarch, pain flour and mix well. This will create a coating for the chicken keeping it crisp after frying.
  6. Place on a baking tray with a rack and spray with oil. Bake in the oven over 250C for 25-30 minutes or util the top is golden and has a nice char.
  7. Remove from the oven and flip each chicken wings to gook the other side.
  8. Place back in the oven for another 10-20 minutes or until crisp and golden brown.
  9. And you're done, serve warm with bbq sauce.
