It's super easy and super yummy you wont regret making it! So here's the recipe.
Sweet Chili Sauce Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper, ground
- 1-1/2 tsp tamarind puree
- 1/2 tsp red food coloring
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
DIRECTIONS:
- In a pan over high heat add 2 cups of water and sugar.
- Once the sugar is completely dissolved add in salt, red pepper flakes, black pepper, tamarind puree and red food coloring. Then bring to a boil.
- To give it a little bit of thickness mix cornstarch with water then add it in the sauce.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce has thickened up.
- With a spoon remove some of the big chunks of the tamarind puree and turn off heat.
- Let cool and transfer to in a jar.
- Serve cold or hot with samosas or any fries.
