Grilled Chicken Tikka Pizza Sandwich | Snacks Ideas


Hi guys! I hope you're all doing well! 
Today's recipe is Grilled Chicken Tikka Pizza Sandwich. It's something that you can make when you're running out of ideas and you don't know what to prepare for dinner or as snack. This recipe is simple and super delicious. 


Grilled Chicken Tikka Pizza Sandwich Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup chicken breast, boiled and shredded
  • 2 tsp tikka masala powder mix (brand laziza international)
  • 1/2 cup passata (if not available use tomato purée or readymade pizza sauce)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1/2 tbsp pizza mix (basically a mix of italian seasonings)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
  • half of an onion, sliced
  • some roasted bell pepper, sliced (check out my Chicken Sandwich Recipe to know how I made this roasted bell pepper)
  • 3/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 2 big slices of sandwich bread

DIRECTIONS:

Pizza sauce preparation:
In a bowl combine passata, salt, red chili flakes and pizza mix. Mix well.

Prepare chicken tikka:
In a small bowl mix well shredded chicken and tikka masala powder mix.

Prepare melted butter:
Ina a small bowl place butter and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds until completely melted. Then add in dried basil, dried oregano and dried rosemary. Mix well.

Assemble pizza sandwich:
  1. Take 1 slice of sandwich bread and spread about 3 tbsp of seasoned passata on it. 
  2. Then top the sandwich bread with sliced onion, shredded chicken tikka, sliced roasted bell pepper and grated mozzarella cheese. 
  3. Take the other slice of bread and spread on it the remaining passata. 
  4. Next place the slice of bread on top of the other sliced of bread so that you end up with a big sandwich.
  5. Spread the outside of the sandwich with melted butter and place the sandwich on a hot skillet or tawa for about 2 minutes. 
  6. After 2 minutes flip the sandwich over and grill the other side for 2 minutes.
  7. And it's done! Serve hot
