Melon Juice (Cantaloupe) | Ramadan Recipes

Today we will be making Melon Juice also known as Cantaloupe juice.
It is a refreshing Filipino drink basically made of shredded melon, water, sugar, milk and ice.It's perfect for those hot summer days. So, I thought why not incorporate it in our Ramadan Recipes Series. This will definitely keep your body hydrated throughout the day!

Preparation time: 10 min
Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 small melon
  • 4 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup cold water
  • granulated white sugar (according to desired sweetness)
  • 4 tbsp condensed milk (optional)
  • ice cubes
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Slice the melon into half and remove all the seeds.
  2. Using cantaloupe scraper, scrape the melon and place in a large bowl. If a melon scraper is not available, slice the cantaloupe and grate the flesh into the bowl.
  3. In a large pitcher combine water, milk, sugar and condense milk. Stir until the sugar is diluted. Then add the shredded cantaloupe and stir again.
  4. Serve with ice cubes, colder the better!
