Dry Fruit Milkshake | Healthy Ramadan Recipes


Assalam'o Alaykum guys! I hope you all are having a beautiful day!

For today's recipe I've brought for you this healthy and easy drink 'Dry fruit milkshake! As this milkshake is made out of different kids of nuts and dry fruits, you'll find this drink rich in iron, calcium and proteins. Not only that this milkshake is totally sugar-free! 

Dry fruit milkshake is a perfect drink for Ramadan or any kind of fasting occasion. 


INGREDIENTS:
  • 6-7 dates, pitted
  • 2-3 dry figs
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1 tbsp honey (or more)
  • 2-1/2 cups chilled milk
  • hot/warm water (for soaking)
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Soak dry fruits and nuts in warm water for 25-30 minutes or overnight.
  2. After 30 minutes drain water from nuts and dry fruits. (they should be softer and moister than before)
  3. In a blender blend nuts and dry fruits, honey and 1/2 cup milk into a thick paste.
  4. Once blended add the rest of the milk and blend again.
  5. Serve cold with ice and topped with chopped nuts.
